It is a common thing for every one of us to open an account in social media sites to further our own businesses by increasing the number of followers by sharing valuable knowledge nuggets precisely at precisely particular times of a day; all this, in the hope of getting a few leads.
FaceBook, Twitter, etc. kind of social media runs on followers, likes, shares, and comments. It is quite a common thing that once you decided to take advantage of a social media channel, you need to constantly feed it time-by-time with some interesting content; otherwise, you will be automatically pushed into oblivion within a matter of few minutes.
So, you start creating your own community by adding new members and by sending requests to some other members. Besides, you comment, share, and like whatever your contacts post in a hope they reciprocate the same thing with your posts. Alas! Things are not happening as per your expectations. No one neither likes your post nor share it.
What is happening? No reciprocation? Huh!
Again you add a few more members in the hope that the new set will like and share your posts. Like this, your follower count will grow but you will never reach your expectations when it comes to liking and sharing. What’s wrong? Is the content that you are posting is not related to the audience of the particular social media site? Or your followers deliberately not doing any activity related to your posts?
Answer: Sometimes what happens is that the given social media site is not active as per your expectations and your followers are also found to be lethargic. One or two may be actively posting, sharing, liking, etc. content but not all! Once you observe this kind of activity in the social media site, then it is the time for you to go for a new social media channel. It is waste of time to do anything on a social media site that is not active and kicking.
Go for a new social media channel if your existing channel is not up to your expectations.
