For FaceBook Audience: Shall I Post Text or Image?

For frequency posting, which one of the following is better: text or image?

Actually, it depends upon the audience of the social media. For example, in FaceBook, which people refer every now and then whenever they get free time, few lines of text and quality images rule the roost. Most of the FaceBook audience pays short attention to the content sent to them. Since they skim the content, first images, later text with maximum 2 lines should be given priority.

FaceBook is mainly for chitchats. You can send lengthy messages but your audience is not ready to read. The point is that most percentage of your FaceBook audience is not expecting novel kind of content in posts. Please remember: FaceBook is not Medium, which is another kind of social media where long text is the normal expectation.

Images are welcome. A beautiful colorful picture conveys 1000 words in one glance. Even human brains processes images faster than text. After applications like Instagram, Pinterest, etc. have become popular, image publishing has increased exponentially.  A beautiful image with a few lines of sweet, short, and meaningful text is what gets you lot of likes, shares, and comments. If you keep posting images in this format, no matter within a short span of time your follower count will increase exponentially.
