Every wave hits the bank. Actually , it cannot stop itself from doing that as long as it sees the bank there. It is because reaching the bank is its goal. And it gets lot of inspiration whenever it reaches its goal and comes back with double speed. And it goes on...
Now, imagine: your customer is the wave and you as the bank. Won't you feel happy if your customer keeps coming and knocking your website doors every now and then to give you business? Yes, definitely! Why you won't be happy, right?
However, just like how the wave is getting lot of inspiration each time it hits the bank, similarly, have you thought anytime about what is inspiring your customer to come back again to your website?
This is where most of the businesses falter. As long as everything goes smooth, nobody bothers. But when visitor count goes down , only then they think about SEO, Social Media Content Strategist, etc.
